However, properties in Brighton cost on average £ 450,200 well above the national average of £ 231,185 – so what can you really afford in the city?

These are currently the cheapest Zoopla properties to buy in Brighton at the moment, excluding purchase assistance, retreats and houseboats:

£ 35,000 – Church Place, Brighton BN2
