An app has recently been put in place to warn people when they enter a high crime area while walking.
The app, called Walksafe, discovered the most dangerous areas of Taunton.
WalkSafe allows users to browse an area on a map and see how many crimes have been committed, what type of crime it is, and how long it has been reported.

The app shows that violence / sexual assault is the most common form of crime in Taunton.
Across Taunton, there are also a few cases of knife crime.
Depending on the map, there are no light blue or yellow markings indicating feelings of insecurity or aggression.
Holway was identified as the worst place for crime with five incidents, followed closely by Halcon.
