Taste the Difference Medjool dates have been removed from Sainsbury’s shelves due to possible hepatitis A contamination.
In a statement with the Food Standards Agency, the store said: “These products could be contaminated with hepatitis A. Symptoms caused by hepatitis A typically include fever, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, l ‘dark-colored urine and jaundice (a yellowing of the skin). “
It affects pack sizes of 200g and 500g.

The release added, “If you bought these products, don’t eat them. Instead, return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.”
