A dramatic trailer for the latest episode of Line of Duty strongly hints that H will be on display as Series 6 gets the startling conclusion it so deserves.
On Sunday night there was barely a chance to catch your breath as the BBC drama delivered the goods again with a thoroughly thrilling first 10 minutes, which confirmed Ryan Pilkington’s death from gunshot wounds , then saw Kate Fleming and Jo Davidson arrested as Carmichael dropped the bomb in Hastings that she and the Chief had placed tracking devices on all AC-12 vehicles.
His slippery demeanor in Episode 6, coupled with a host of fan theories and a “ clue ” on Anna Maxwell-Martin’s Instagram, led Carmichael to be unmasked as the mysterious H.
And it looks like whether it ends up being her or not, millions of viewers will see H’s identity revealed in the seventh and final episode on Sunday, May 2.
In the trailer, which was quickly shared on social media within minutes of its Monday afternoon release, Kate and coworker Steve Arnott appear to have figured out who H is, with the clip seeing them shooting boss Hastings from a knowing look as they notice a misspelling on the word “definitely” as “definitely” – something picked up by Line of Duty fans in droves.
Another scene sees Davidson in the back of a police van after the closing scenes of Sunday night’s episode saw the cell door close on her after her fierce interrogation at the hands of Carmichael and Hastings.
Towards the end of the trailer comes the caption “Every Investigation Led To This,” before all the other letters disappear to leave only H, and then Kate and Steve point their guns at someone in a tense deadlock.
Reacting to this, one fan tweeted: “OMG that #Course of action final trailer ”, and another posted:“ The final line of duty trailer really made me wonder how all of this can be solved in one episode ”
