West Sussex: Reports of gunfire near college as public urged to stay away from UK News area

Police say shots were fired near a West Sussex college.

There is a large police presence at the scene of the apparent shooting near Crawley College.

A man has been arrested, Sussex police said.

People are advised to stay away from the area.

A Sussex Police tweet said: “A man has been arrested following reports of gunfire near Crawley College.

“Please stay away from the area for now.

“There is a significant police presence on the scene and in the region.

“We will provide more information as soon as we can.”
