A DRIVER has been arrested after ten people were found in a refrigerated truck this evening.
Sussex Police stopped a truck on the A24 in Findon Valley, Worthing, just before 6:45 p.m., and ten people were rescued.
Emergency services carried out welfare checks and officers arrested the driver on suspicion of immigration offenses.
A force spokesperson said: “Police stopped a truck containing ten people suspected of being illegal immigrants on the A24 in Findon Valley just before 6:45 pm.
“They were checked by paramedics and escorted by the police to be handed over to the police and border forces from the Ministry of the Interior.
“The driver was arrested on suspicion of immigration offenses and taken into custody.”
