London stabbing: murder investigation launched after Willesden attack in broad daylight | UK | New UK News

Police were called to report a stabbing in High Road, Willesden Green at 5:11 p.m. tonight. They discovered a man in his forties suffering from stab wounds. However, he died at the scene. No arrests were made.

Met Police said in a statement: “A murder investigation has been opened following a fatal stabbing in Willesden.

“Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 5:11 pm on Thursday April 29 to report a man suffering from stab wounds on High Road, NW10. Agents were present.

“Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

“Work is underway to formally identify him and the police are in the process of locating and informing his closest relatives.

“A crime scene is in place and the public can expect to see an increased police presence in the area.

“Investigations are ongoing and there have been no arrests.

“Anyone with information is urged to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 5109 / 29Apr.

“You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Footage from the scene showed a police cordon in place at the scene.

Police officers and cars also surrounded the area while emergency services attended to the victim.

A number of red London buses also appeared to be trapped in the cordon.

Brent MPS tweeted that the police now have additional stop and search powers tonight.

They said the powers were introduced by way of an order under section 60 following a “serious incident in the region”.

Areas where the order will be in place include Willesden Green, Dollis Hill, Brondesbury, Brondesbury Park, Harlesden, Church End and Neasden.

It comes after a 13-year-old boy was stabbed in Parsonage Street near the DLR station in Island Gardens on the Isle of Dogs in east London this morning.

He reportedly went to George Green School when he suffered multiple stab wounds.

A Met Police statement said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 8:50 am on Thursday April 29 for reports of a stabbing in Parsonage Street, E14.

“The officers and the London Air Ambulance were there.

“A 13-year-old boy was found suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital in east London; we are awaiting an update on its condition.

“A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

“He is still being held in an east London police station.
