They performed atop Buckingham Palace as part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations and set the record for the largest audience for the live broadcast of the BBC’s New Years Eve, the most-watched television music event of 2018.
Squeeze guests will join Madness on The Ladykillers Arena tour.
Squeeze was first formed in 1973, shortly after Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook began their songwriting association. In 1977 they made their recording debut and enjoyed a string of hits, establishing the band not only as a passing note in New Wave history, but as an important and vital part of quintessential British music.
Following their solo careers, the Ivor Novello award-winning duo reunited in 2007 to relaunch Squeeze and have been touring, writing and recording together ever since, returning to the UK album charts and radio waves with Cradle To. The Grave from 2015 and The Knowledge from 2017.
In recent years Squeeze has toured the UK, US and Australia, recently joining Daryl Hall & John Oates on their North American tour, the highlight being the return to Madison Square Gardens. .
