It’s a day we’ve been waiting for as the British can once again enjoy some fundamental freedoms denied by the coronavirus pandemic.

Cuddles, indoor pints, overnight stays and international travel are allowed again as some COVID the restrictions were relaxed during part of the next stage of the government’s roadmap, which went into effect today.

Here’s how some people took advantage of it.
