Jeremy Paxman: College Challenge host reveals Parkinson’s diagnosis | Ents & Arts News

Broadcaster Jeremy Paxman has revealed he’s been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The host of the University Challenge, 71, said he had received “excellent treatment” and his symptoms were “currently mild”.

He said in a statement: “I can confirm that I have recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. I am receiving excellent treatment and my symptoms are currently mild.

“I intend to continue broadcasting and writing for as long as they have me.

“I will not make any further comment.”
