The London Ambulance Service and Met Police were alerted to the scene in Moorland Road, Brixton. A Met statement said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 9:37 pm on Wednesday 2 June to report an injured man on Moorland Road, SW9.
“Officers, including firearms officers, and the London air ambulance were present.
“A man in his 20s was found suffering from what are believed to be gunshot wounds and stab wounds.
“He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital; we are awaiting an update on his condition.
“While at the scene, police were approached by a large group of people and objects were thrown at them.
“A crime scene is in place and officers remain in the area.”
The force urged anyone with information to call the police via 101, citing Cad reference 7951/02 June.
