Masked Dancer viewers were sent back to their drawing board with their predictions on who Knickerbocker Glory could be after David Walliams appeared as a guest judge on Thursday night’s show.
The acclaimed children’s author and Britain’s Got Talent star has joined Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse and Mo Gilligan for the series’ first double kick-off.
The Masked Dancer was taped some time ago and commenting on his presence on the show David said, “I had a great time as a guest judge on the show. It’s so silly and fun you won’t. can’t help but have the best time.
“Joel and the other judges made me feel so welcome. It’s a lot harder than judging BGT though. It’s more like having to be a detective!”

The very fact that David was on the panel immediately thwarted some viewers’ assumptions that he was competing as Knickerbocker Glory.
Rushing to Twitter, one of them posted: “I was convinced Knickerbocker fame was David Walliams, but he’s a panel guest now, I have no idea. (RuPaul?)”
Equally baffled, another reacted: “ffs well thats david walliams being knickerbockerglory of my list” and a third posted: “So #knickerbockerglory isn’t it David Walliams, then ”
Knickerbocker Glory’s big tip is now Strictly Judge Craig Revel-Horwood, thanks to a hint earlier in the week and his voice clearly heard on Thursday.
One of the clues given by Knickerbocker Glory on the show was, “As a young scoop, I won a contest ____ with my jelly _” and the statement goes hand in hand with something Craig disclosed in his memoir that ‘he has already won a cooking competition with a jelly shrimp cocktail.
Other names in the frame for being the giant ice cream include Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz, Su Pollard and Debbie McGee.
