Firefighters were called in to burn down a house last night.
Crews from across West Sussex were tasked with putting out the blaze at Crawley’s ‘domestic dwelling’ at 7:08 p.m.
At 9:50 p.m., firefighters announced that the fire at Molins Court, Bewbush, had been extinguished.
A spokesperson said: “Two crews from Crawley, one from Horsham and one from Turners Hill were present.
“Our joint fire control center has since confirmed that the ‘stop’ message has been received.”
Pictures from the scene show that a window was destroyed in the fire.
The building was charred and its gutters melted.
The Turners Hill team remained at the scene to assist fire investigators.
They also went on a “hot strike” to see if neighbors had working smoke detectors.
