A RESCUE mission was launched after a man found himself in trouble at sea.
Shoreham Coast Guard teams were called in early this morning following reports of an incident at Banjo Groyne in Brighton just before 6 a.m.
Police were also present, along with the Brighton and Hove seafront teams.
Shoreham Coastguard said on Twitter that the man was safely collected and transferred to an ambulance.
The team also reported a busy week, with more than ten incidents.

A spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said today: ‘Just before 6 a.m. the Shoreham Coast Guard Rescue Team and Sussex Police were dispatched to report an incident to Banjo Groyne , Brighton.
“The South East Coast ambulance service was also present.”
Sussex Police have been contacted for further information.
