American tuning company Hennessey has unveiled the Mammoth 1000 TRX, a heavily modified Dodge Ram powered by a 6.2-liter, 1,012-hp supercharged V8 engine it claims is the most powerful and fastest pickup ever. product.

The Texas company, which is best known in the UK for its hypercar lineup, including the upcoming Venom F5 at over 311 mph, will produce 200 of the new pickups for the US market and claims it has already received orders for more than half.

The Mammoth 1000 TRX is based on the Dodge Ram 1500 TRX and uses a heavily upgraded version of its supercharged Hellcat V8 engine. Hennessey installed a new high-flow compressor, fuel injectors and an intake system, and also reworked the unit’s calibration. In addition to increasing power output to 1012 hp, torque has been increased to 969 lb-ft.

Hennessey says the modifications allow the Mammoth 1000 TRX to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, with a quarter-mile time of 11.4 seconds. It will be offered in two stages, with higher-tier models featuring further upgrades, including a crankcase ventilation system and a high-flow filtration system.

Other upgrades available as part of the set include custom bumpers, LED lights, front leveling kit, 20 inch wheels, and all-terrain tires up to 37 inches, designed to add even more presence and performance. They extend the dimensions of the Mammoth 1000 TRX to 5811mm long, 2090mm wide and 1970mm high.

The truck can accommodate six adults, can support a payload of 1,043 kg and can tow a load weighing up to 3,942 kg.

The Mammoth TRX 100 costs around $ 150,000 (£ 100,000) including the original TRX pickup. Hennessey said the truck was available to “customers across the United States and around the world.”
