UPDATE: 30 people tested positive for Covid in Bedford Bedford News

To date (June 24), Bedford has registered 30 new cases of the coronavirus, with a total of 15,273 people now diagnosed with the virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England

There were no deaths in Bedford (482), one in Central Bedfordshire (572) and none in Luton (504).

Central Bedfordshire has 37 new Covid cases with a total of 17,006, while Luton has registered 32, with a new total of 21,813.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 33,004 Covid cases, Hertfordshire 79,987 and Milton Keynes 20,943 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5 p.m. the day before and 5 p.m. and unfortunately do not include the number of patients cured of Covid-19.

In the UK, the number of coronavirus cases increased from 16,703 to 4,684,572. The number of deaths increased from 21 to 128,048.

As of June 23, in the UK, 43,656,327 people had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 31,908,103 had received their second dose.

And in Bedford, 116,603 people had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 80,645 had received their second dose.
