Body found in search of missing Northumberland man Ross Hanson UK News

A body was found during the search for Ross Hanson, a missing man from Northumberland.

Ross, 43, was reported missing earlier today after he was last seen leaving an address in the Eden Terrace area of ​​Lynemouth yesterday.

A search has been launched and a number of investigations have been carried out to locate Ross, but a body has now been discovered in a wooded area behind River View in Lynemouth.

Official identification has yet to take place, but officers believe the body is Ross’s.

His family have been informed and are supported by officers during this devastating time.

Police do not believe a third party is involved in the death and a report will now be made for the coroner.

Northumbria Police Superintendent Phil Shutt said: “This is an incredibly sad update and one we certainly weren’t hoping to deliver.

“We want to thank those who shared our call to help find Ross and our thoughts remain with Ross’s family.

“Our specialist officers will continue to support them during this extremely difficult time. “
