A PLANE has crashed near Goodwood airfield.
Sussex Police said the light aircraft fell just north of the airfield this afternoon.
Firefighters and ambulances are on site with force officers.
A police spokesperson said: “The Air Accident Investigation Branch has been informed.
“Our investigations are ongoing and we have no further information at this time.”
The West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said teams from Chichester and the Technical Rescue Unit were present.
“We urge people to continue to avoid the area for now in order to allow emergency service personnel to work safely,” a spokesperson for the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said.
