Appeal for missing father and four-year-old son UK News

An appeal has been made to help find a missing father and his four-year-old son.

Northumbria Police received a report on Sunday evening that Ian Malone, 44, had not returned home after leaving an address in Rowlands Gill with his young son, who cannot be named on legal grounds.

Officers are now appealing to the public for help or anyone who has been able to see Ian since Sunday night.

Northumbria Police Chief Detective Inspector Jane Fairlamb said: “Our priority is to make sure Ian and his son are safe and healthy, so we need to find their whereabouts as soon as possible.

“We are now asking for help from anyone who knows where they are. If you can help us, please contact us immediately.

Ian is described as white, about 5ft 5in tall, light bodied, and with mouse brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a light t-shirt, black pants, black sneakers, a black mask and a black backpack.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police online, or by calling 101, citing NP-20210704-0851.
