Wall painting in memory of Sebastian Eubank in Brighton Brighton News

A TOUCHING mural was painted in tribute to Chris Eubank’s son Sebastian after his death.

The 29-year-old, who had recently become a father for the first time, died in Dubai just days before his 30th birthday.

A large mural was painted in Trafalgar Lane, Brighton, in his memory.

The artwork shows his face alongside the words “RIP Sebastian Eubank, 91-21”.

It appears to have been painted by Fek, a Brighton and Hove-based street artist known for his drawings of Grumpy Monkey which can be spotted all over town.

Candles and flowers were also placed under the mural in memory of Sébastien.

Oliver Dall, who spotted the artwork, said the mural was the perfect way to remember Sebastian.

“In my opinion, art is beautiful,” he said. “I can’t imagine how her father, family and friends are feeling right now.”

Sebastian’s father, Chris Eubank Sr, a former world boxing champion, paid tribute to his “beloved and respected son” following the news of the tragic death.

“I never imagined that I would write these words or feel the feeling I have now of the loss of my son,” he said.

“My family and I are devastated to learn of Sebastian’s passing days before what would have been his 30th birthday.

“He leaves behind his wife Salma, his son Raheem born just a month ago, his mother Karron Meadows, his brothers Nathanael, Chris Jr, Joseph, a sister Emily and countless relatives and friends.

“Sebastian grew up in Hove, England, but over the past few years has made a living in Dubai where he had a large circle of friends and was a leader in adopting healthy lifestyles and therapies. alternatives. ”

Chris Eubank Jr also paid tribute to his brother, saying he hadn’t cried since he was 12, until he heard the news.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there to watch your back like a big brother is supposed to,” he said.

“I can’t believe you’re really gone man, but you will always be on my heart, my mind and my mind.

“Now your inheritance will live on through your beautiful newborn son and I will treat him like mine.

“Watch over us until we meet the young lion again.”

Sebastian had fought twice as a professional boxer, winning both fights on points.
