Barnet and Southgate College End-of-Year Art Exhibition 2021 UK News

Barnet and Southgate College is gearing up for its annual year-end creative arts show – and some of the works on display this year are out of this world.

The three-campus college is hosting a limited in-person exhibition this year of sophomore work due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Visitors will be welcomed at the Wood Street Campus from July 12 to 30 by reservation only.

A virtual exhibit has been posted on the college’s website for friends, family and admirers to view the magnificent works produced by the students this year.

The work is presented by students of photography, media, animation, fashion, and art and design.

“Since last year we have all had to adapt to huge challenges in our lives and this has been especially the case for our students and their education experience,” said Lord Levy, President of Barnet and Southgate Middle School.

“Therefore, the launch of this second exhibition presented in this way is a great success for each of our students, tutors and technicians. Each work on display is a testament to their passion and determination both in college and learning virtually at home, since the start of the pandemic last year.

“Using digital technologies, the tutors worked collaboratively to help each student continue to learn and explore their area of specialization, and they have adapted remarkably well with the return to face-to-face teaching. ”

Lord Levy added: “The response from the students has been amazing; with many expectations exceeding expectations to produce extremely high standards of creative, challenging and inspiring work. I am sure you will enjoy Exhibit 2021, as we celebrate the accomplishments of each of our students and their exceptional talent. ”
