Trying to find a place to buy your lunch during a break from work hours can be a challenge.
Most people tend to cure their hunger in the same places day in and day out, including a particular Somerset sandwich bar.
Loafers in Taunton was established in 1978 and has served the city center ever since, with locals now flocking to the little store at lunchtime.

The store is located at Bath Place in Taunton among many other independent businesses.
They have a huge selection of hot and cold food including breakfast rolls, daily roasts, burgers, paninis, wraps and more at a great price.

We decided to visit the popular independent business and find out why all the locals seem to come to this store during their lunch breaks.
What was my verdict? My turkey, stuffing and fried onion roll from the Loafers sandwich bar.
I was greeted in the small room but two welcoming faces who were clearly well experienced in customer service and watching their visitors.
They quickly informed me of their selection including their roast of the day which was served in a bun.
The moment I heard the mention of the turkey, I knew my decision was made and I was going for their roast of the day.
The preparation only took a few minutes and I was presented with an eco-friendly bag with a towel gently tucked inside.
Personally, I went against the cranberry sauce, but still had three slices of turkey, stuffing, and fried onions in my ever-presentable roll.
The turkey aroma was extremely good. Some turkeys may be too dry and leave you breathless for a little water, but these slices were wet enough to hit the spot.
The stuffing and fried onion really complimented the turkey and left me feeling like Christmas had arrived early as I devoured the roll bite by bite.
For the simple price of £ 4.50 I was very happy with the lunch. It might have looked smaller, but it left me more than full – and I eat a lot!
