The UK is set to sizzle this weekend and many people will take advantage of the good weather to visit a beach.

However, deciding which beach to visit with your furry friend can often be a challenge.

Vets Now, the nation’s leading pet emergency service, has revealed the top 50 dog-friendly beaches to keep our nation of pet lovers safe on beach days.

The list includes beaches from across the UK coastline, from as far north as Waters of Philorth Beach in Fraserburgh in Scotland to Seagrove Beach on the Isle of Wight.

Vets Now experts have reviewed UK beaches, creating a comprehensive 32-page digital guide to the best and safest beaches for dogs to ensure the country’s pet owners and their pets are well -loves live a fun and safe experience this summer by the sea.

Emergency vets have taken into consideration beaches where water quality is rated as high, dogs are welcomed year-round, parking and access are good, and a day vet is based nearby.

However, when dog owners venture out for a day by the sea, you should be careful of dangers such as hooks, jellyfish, low tides, to name a few.

The last few months have seen a phenomenal increase in two things: people with new pets and people booking summer “stays” rather than traveling abroad.
