A man has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving / drug use and causing serious injury by dangerous driving between Potters Bar and Enfield.
Police were called at 10:53 p.m. on Saturday July 17 to report a three-car crash at The Ridgeway (A1005).
A woman was taken to hospital with head injuries. His condition is not life threatening.
Two men were also taken to hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
All the cars stopped at the scene.
We are currently responding to the scene of a serious collision on Ridgeway A1005 near #PottersBar. There are road closures locally, including at the Potters Bar interchange # M25. These should stay in place for a while. We ask motorists to avoid the area.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving / drugs and causing serious injury by reckless driving.
“He was taken to hospital as a precaution and has now been released under investigation.”
He said investigations were ongoing.
Herts Police tweeted at the time: “We are currently witnessing a serious collision on the Ridgeway A1005 near #PottersBar.
“There are road closures locally, including at the Potters Bar # M25 interchange.
“These should stay in place for a while.
“We urge motorists to avoid the area.”
