Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team called to Brighton Brighton News

TWO weapon shells were recovered by an explosive ordnance disposal team.

A Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team was called to Brighton on Monday at the request of Sussex Police.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Defense said a team from Southern Diving Unit 2 in Portsmouth responded to the call.

Two 30mm rounds were recovered for later disposal.

The Defense Ministry spokesman said: ‘We can confirm that a Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal team has been called to an address in Brighton at the request of Sussex Police. All other questions should be directed to the police.

Sussex Police have been approached for comment.
