Dorset Police officers investigating fatal road collision are calling for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident, which occurred near Corfe Caste on the evening of Saturday (July 24), resulted in the death of a local man in his twenties.

Officers were alerted at 8:18 p.m. that a black Audi A5 coupe had left the road and landed in a field along the B3069 between Kingston and the junction to Worth Matravers.

The front seat passenger, also a local man in his twenties, was slightly injured.

The family of the deceased has been informed.

Police Officer Dave Coterill of the Traffic Unit said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the young man who tragically passed away.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision.

“I urge all who witnessed the incident or the conduct that preceded it to come forward.

“In addition, I would like to hear from anyone who has captured something important on the dashcam to contact me.

“Finally, I would like to thank the motorists for their patience during the road closure, as this allows us and our emergency colleagues to react to the incident in a safe manner and to examine the scene thoroughly. . ”
