At the end of last month he was selected to play for the six-man Bedfordshire U18 South of England squad as part of England Golf South East qualifying in Kent.

Then, from July 12 to 14, he took part in an individual competition, the three-day Faldo Series, men’s tournament in the south of England.

Connor made the cut that got him to play on the final day at the beautiful Brocket Hall golf course in Hertfordshire, where he even had the pleasure of meeting Sir Nick Faldo himself (pictured)

Around 270 competitors under the age of 21 have been selected to take part in this tournament and Connor has gained tremendous experience while having a fantastic time.

Also at Bedford & County on the ladies’ side and Judith Brock Salver in very hot conditions he was close to second and third at 75 net, with Sandra Stevens just ahead of Joss Binks on the countdown. But the honors went to Jenny Prior with a clean 73.

On a cooler day, the President’s Cup and Vice-President’s Cup saw Cliff Warner, Karen Willie and Linda Stock total 38 points for 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Mike Salsbury only won the one point trophy with 39 points.
