A POST mortem did not reveal how a man died before his body was found in a doorway.
Police investigating the man’s death in Hove continue to call for witnesses. But they have yet to reveal his name.
Police were called to Brittany Road at around 4:20 a.m. on Friday August 20 after the 59-year-old was sadly found dead in the doorway of his home.
An autopsy by the Ministry of the Interior took place on Saturday, August 21. The cause of death was undetermined and further tests will now be performed.
A 59-year-old man was arrested in connection with this death and was released on bail pending further investigations. The two men knew each other.
Detective Inspector Simon Dunn said: “We are currently treating this man’s death as unexplained and our investigation is ongoing.
“We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything untoward in the Brittany Road and Hove Kingsway area, starting at around 8:30 pm on Thursday August 19th.
“The road would have been relatively busy at this time with vehicles and pedestrians and anyone with information that could assist us in our investigations is requested to contact us.”
