A dentist went viral on TikTok after sharing his golden rule about brushing his teeth in the morning, and it took many by surprise.

The latest helpful tips shared on the video sharing platform come from dental therapist Anna Peterson.
Why you should always brush your teeth BEFORE breakfast
Anna told her 54,400 followers that you should always brush your teeth before breakfast.
This is because brushing your teeth after eating breakfast can cause acid to penetrate your pearly whites.
Anna said: Anna explained: “Did you know that you shouldn’t brush your teeth after breakfast, always before.
” There are two reasons for this.
“When you have breakfast, your mouth becomes acidic, so what you do when you brush your teeth after breakfast is brush the acid into the tooth and it wears down the enamel.
“And brushing your teeth before breakfast protects your teeth from whatever you’re going to eat.”
His video has racked up nearly a million views and received 87,500 likes from social media users who have brushed their teeth badly their entire lives.
“I remember the first time I found out that not everyone knew this,” one user said.
They added: “On a business trip with colleagues, we met for breakfast and after that they said they were going to brush their teeth. I was blown away that they haven’t already! And they thought I was weird!
Another user commented: “Except I don’t like mint cereal …”
A third commented: I’m eating a bagel with peanut butter and banana right now, I don’t think it goes well with Colgate fresh mint so nah lol. ”
