Tucked away in the center of Bath is a wonderful pub and B&B gem that seems to be loved by all who visit.
The Rising Sun Inn on Grove Street has a ton of rave reviews on TripAdvisor.
The independent establishment is clearly doing something right, or a lot as the reviews suggest, with great food, welcoming hosts in lovely surroundings.

Reviews are rave about the “fabulous” stays in the pub and the delicious food to boot. A recent customer, Adrian R, said: “Staying in Bath for a few days, so as usual I relied on TripAdvisor for restaurants.
“We looked for places near our hotel and the rising sun has risen. It is on a side street of the Pulteney Bridge so you can’t walk past it.
“But please look for it. The gastro pub that chose a smaller menu with lots of classics done so well.
“Such welcoming hosts. I can’t say enough good things about this place.
“Wonderful evening. I rarely post on TA unless something is exceptional.”

The traditional family pub has had many other glowing reports. Another seller said the pub continues to improve year on year.
Tisrog wrote: “A central gem and great value for money. We have been coming here regularly for ten years and this place continues to improve.
“It has a very central location with a parking voucher available which is essential.
“The rooms are spotlessly clean with everything you need. It provides simple things that fancy hotels don’t – a bottle of milk in the fridge and a dish to put your used tea bags in things minor but well thought out.
“There is a cozy bar and a restaurant offering a good range of quality food for dinner. Normally there is a courtyard garden.
“The Covid rules are applied in a strict but sensitive way.
“We recommend that you book directly because a cooked breakfast is included, with a wide range and very good quality local products.
“Norman and Lorraine are excellent, friendly hosts who offer lots of suggestions and practical advice.”
