Sheridan Smith broke down on this weekend’s Starstruck after being moved to tears by one of the performances.
Since its debut last month, Starstruck has become a real Saturday night guilty pleasure for millions of ITV viewers, with some comparing it to the classic TV show of yesteryear Stars in their Eyes.
The premise of the show is that super fans of particular artists, ranging from Cher to Rag ‘n’ Bone Man and Ariana Grande to Freddie Mercury, are transformed to look like their musical idols and then perform one of their tracks. classics, alongside two other sounds.

Saturday’s show featured tributes to Kylie Minogue, Billie Eilish and John Legend and it was the performance of three fans of the latter that made Sheridan emotional.
After the three contestants performed John’s acclaimed hit All of Me, host Olly Murs addressed the judges for their comments, noting that Sheridan was incredibly emotional, remarking, “You have tears in your eyes !”
She replied, “I know, my eyelashes are going to fall out.”
Giving her opinion through tears, the No Return actress said: “Oh guys it was just a spell.

“This song is about storytelling and you did it. Eye contact. It’s one of my favorite songs.
“The lyrics ‘all your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections’, it gets me every time.
“You guys just delivered it so well. There were no gimmicks and stuff, just you guys. And when the rose petals started I was completely gone!”
She added: “I was completely transported somewhere in that moment and you really got me.
“And that’s what performance is all about, if you can get somebody there in their heart.”
