A ROYAL Air Force plane was seen flying over Sussex.

The Airbus A400 flew over Sussex this evening after taking off from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire at 5.10pm.

The plane, which is over 45 meters long, then passed low over Brighton City Airport in Shoreham, and over the streets of Brighton and Hove.

A Royal Air Force plane was seen flying over Sussex.

A dog walker, who was walking near the Grand on Brighton seafront when the plane flew overhead, said: “I saw people looking up after hearing the sound of the engines, and when I spotted the plane, I knew it wasn’t just a passenger plane.

“I recognized it was a military plane and it was a stark reminder of what is happening in Ukraine right now.”

The plane then flew over the English Channel before flying over Guernsey.

As of this writing, the plane has yet to land.

People impressed by the sight took pictures of the plane as it glided overhead, including Argus Camera Club member Amanda Glinsman.

RAF Brize Norton has yet to confirm the purpose of the flight.
