Crawley’s Gareth Southgate selects England squad Brighton News

England boss Gareth Southgate has announced his squad for the upcoming games against Switzerland and Ivory Coast.

Crawley’s Gareth Southgate has given a first call to Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi who has been in fine form for Crystal Palace this season.

Meanwhile, the most notable absentees were Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, who have both struggled for form this season.

Former Brighton defender Ben White, who joined Arsenal last summer for £50million, has been included in the squad after cementing his place in Mikel Arteta’s squad this season.

No Albion player made the squad. The most likely contender would have been Adam Webster, but he’s struggled with injuries this season.

England will face Switzerland on Saturday March 26 at 5:30 p.m. and Ivory Coast on Tuesday March 29 at 7:45 p.m. The two friendlies are played at Wembley.
