SUSSEX was bathed in sunshine as temperatures reached their hottest of the year so far.
Temperatures in Brighton and Hove reached 16C, slightly above average for the time of year, although a light breeze made conditions a bit chillier.
The warmer weather on the coast coincided with this year’s spring equinox, which takes place today (March 20).
