Britain could experience another heatwave next month as sunshine and hot weather hit the country. In Somerset, temperatures are expected to hit 16C by the end of this week.
The Met Office expects 2022 to be one of the hottest years on record, with April temperatures reaching 28C. The sunniest weather is likely to surface in the south and east of the country.
This week’s weather reports show dry and mostly sunny conditions in Somerset. Tomorrow (March 21) should be the cloudiest day before the sun shines for the rest of the week.

Here are the predicted temperatures in Somerset for each day this week, according to the Met Office.
Met Office scientist Dr Nick Dunstone said: “Global temperature has been slightly suppressed in 2021 due to the cooling influence of La Niña in the tropical Pacific. With another La Niña underway, making it a so-called “double dip” La Niña, it’s no surprise that we expect another relatively cool year for global temperatures compared to the streak of years since 2015. .
“However, 2022 is still likely to be above 1.0°C and therefore continues the streak of hottest years for global temperature since 1850.”
