FIRE crews were called to a large fire at a country property.
The East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFR) were called to Pippingford Park in Nutley, near Uckfield, at 1.25am this afternoon.
Firefighters from Crowborough, Uckfield, Heathfield and Seaford are in attendance with support from the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
An ESFRS spokesperson said: ‘The fire is affecting six hectares of land and firefighters are using specialist equipment (flexpacks, water tenders and Landrover with hose reels) to access and extinguish the fire. fire.
“We have also received support from Sussex Police who are using their drone to locate the source of the fire. “We urge everyone to avoid the area.”
