The event, titled The Alice: An Immersive Cocktail Experience, will be held at a venue on Suffolk Road, just outside the town centre, on multiple days this month.
The company behind the event says the experience – based on themes explored in Lewis Carroll’s 1865 book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – was a huge success in Australia and is now making its way to the British coasts.
Residents of Sheffield are invited to “go down the rabbit hole and join us on an immersive and mind-blowing cocktail adventure”.
Promotional materials state that visitors will be invited to “create their own liquid concoctions under the watchful eye of the Mad Hatter and expect things to get more and more curious.
“Dive through the looking glass and into a fantasy world where you’ll play croquet with flamingos, paint roses red, and devour ‘Eat Me’ cake!
“!Solve puzzles and challenges like Alice and unlock all the ingredients to create your own enchanted cocktails in a teapot. It’s all fun and fun until someone steals the Queen of Hearts pies!”
The 90-minute alternate reality experience in Wonderland costs £28 pp and includes two bespoke cocktails and an ‘Eat Me’ cupcake/cookie.
