A call for police for information has been made after a large bronze statue was stolen from a trading stall at Badminton Horse Trials in South Gloucestershire overnight.
The figurine is thought to be worth £19,000 and was made by Somerset artist Jan Sweeny. It is positioned on a freestone plinth and measures 135cm in height.
PC Matt Leigh said: ‘Being bronze, the statue weighs a considerable amount and so it is likely that more than one person was involved in its removal from the trade stand where it was on display.

“We look forward to hearing from anyone who may have seen it removed or carried and also ask those in Badminton today to keep an eye out.
