The Sulphurites were aiming to end their second season as a Football League club with a flourish and achieve three wins in a row, but lost what was an action-packed encounter with goals in each half from Craig Eastmond and Isaac Olaofe.

“We did enough to score goals today, but we probably didn’t do enough to keep the back door closed. So, inevitably, when you don’t take your chances, you set yourself up to lose an end-to-end competition like this.

“We caused them problems when we passed the ball to them. That was the game plan, we just have to get better at it.

“I am disappointed overall because I really wanted to finish the season with three wins in a row after two extremely positive results against Carlisle and Forest Green. When all is said and done, no matter how much applause we get for playing well in an exciting match and creating a lot of chances, at the end of the day we lost the game and it still hurts.”
