National Highways Yorkshire has warned motorists to allow extra time for their journey due to the incident in West Yorkshire.
They said, “There are currently 3 lanes of (4) closed on #A1M North between #M1 J47 and #A1M J44 due to a multi-vehicle collision. Emergency services are on site with #TrafficOfficers helping with traffic management. Please allow more time for your trip.
At 11.45am they added: “All lanes have now reopened on #A1M North between #M1 J47 and #A1M J44 following the previous accident. There are 50 minute delays on approach with 5 Congestion miles, so please allow more time for your trip, but these will start to subside.
