The Boston ladies played at Redditch, the Boston men at Leicestershire Tennis and Squash Club, the 18 boys at Edgbaston and the 18 girls at Carisbrooke.

Fortunes were mixed for the teams, but in every game where the result went to the opposition, there were tiebreakers.

The Boston Ladies will advance to the Regional League next year after a 4-8 loss in their last game of 2022 in Redditch for the side of Danielle Mason, Emily Donoghue, Alice Gamman and Emma Mastin.

All 18 girls – Martha Baxter, Emily Stukins, Poppy Gibbons and Yasmin Everitt – lost 4-8 to Carisbrooke in LTA 18 and under Premier League and again Boston lost in two of three sets.

The Boston men – Lucas East, Mikey Emery, Thomas Cozens and Max Jones – picked up a fine win at home to Leicestershire Tennis and Squash Club, going 8-4 to finish second in the Regional Division.

The 18 boys picked up a win at Edgbaston Priory in the LTA 18 and Under Premier League.

It was a solid 10-2 result for the team of Will Cheer, Seth Briggs-William, Joshua Coghlan and Hayden Bingham.

The U14 women’s team – Matilda Clark, Emily Pye, Matilda Buck and Flo Perowne – had a strong start to the Lincolnshire National Junior League season winning their opening two matches.

They beat Grantham 6-0 and DL Lincoln 4-2.
