PEOPLE are warned to plan ahead if they need to travel over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
The RAC estimated that 19.5 million leisure journeys by road will take place between Wednesday and Sunday, but public transport is also expected to be busier than usual.
Some travel agencies have announced that they will offer limited services during public holidays, which means people may take longer to reach their destination.

Southern Rail said it expects services to be “very busy” throughout the weekend.
A spokesperson for the operator said: ‘Our services will be very busy and you may have to queue at the station to board your train.
“Remember to check before you travel, make sure you know your latest trains home and allow plenty of extra time for your trip.”
Southern is also warning people traveling from Sussex to Liam Gallagher’s concert at Knebworth in Stevenage to expect the trains to be full.
Trains on the network will run on a modified timetable from the start of the Jubilee weekend.
The rail operator said engineering work was due to take place until 2.30am between Three Bridges and Brighton, with buses replacing earlier trains between Three Bridges, Worthing and Eastbourne and between Haywards Heath and Brighton.
