Road closures in Brighton along the A26 and A27 this week Brighton News

MOTORISTS will have three state road closures to watch out for this week around the city.

Drivers in Brighton and Hove will be able to take comfort in the fact, however, that all are expected to cause only slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest list of planned works, with notes from national highways, shows that three closures are due to begin this week:

• A26, from 30 May 8 pm to 1 June 6 am, slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A27 eastbound and westbound, Falmer, lane closures for sanitation works.

• A27, 8.00pm 7th June to 6.00am 8th June, minor delays (less than 10 minutes): A27 eastbound and westbound, Hangleton to Hollingbury, lane closure for barrier repair.

• A26, 9 June 8pm to 11 June 6am, slight delays (less than 10 minutes): A26 north and south, Beddingham to Newhaven, temporary traffic lights for street lighting replacement works.

National Highways are responsible for the maintenance of highways and major A-roads, so smaller road closures will not be included in their schedule.
