Brighton’s Sea Life Center celebrates its platinum jubilee Brighton News

AN AQUARIUM marked the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with celebrations involving both staff and sea creatures.

The Victorian arcade arches at the Sea Life Centre, Brighton, changed from their usual rainbow colors to red, white and blue to mark the occasion.

The celebrations don’t end there as the animal care team also includes the creatures in the festivities.

Noodles the Octopus needs daily enrichment to engage him in exploratory activities that encourage natural behaviors.

Aquarist Bryony has created a safe painting activity for Noodles to explore new texture with their arms and create Union Jack garlands.

The world’s oldest green turtles, Lulu and Gulliver, also join in for a Jubilee-themed tea party.

Aquarists have gotten creative with herbivore gel creating corgi, bunting, union jack and crown cookies for their enjoyment.

Exhibit Supervisor Joe Williams said: “This is the perfect opportunity for a little team fun to come up with alternative enrichment ideas for our creatures and to invite them to join in the Golden Jubilee celebrations. queen’s platinum with us.”
