Emergency services work at Yorkshire house after toxic chemicals found Yorkshire News

Officers were initially called for a disturbance at the house at 4:34 p.m. on Saturday (June 11).

Police found chemicals and evidence of drug production while searching the house, on Westcroft Road, Great Horton.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of Class A drug production and remains in custody.

Some neighbors were temporarily evacuated, but an assessment found there is no increased risk from the chemicals to anyone outside the home.

A scene is expected to remain on-site over the next several days to allow for the safe removal and disposal of the substances, as well as forensic examination of the property to aid in the criminal investigation.

“We recognize the disruption caused to residents on the street and thank them for their continued patience,” West Yorkshire Police said.
