A YOUTUBER has been called an ‘idiot’ after camping on the edge of a cliff.
Liam Brown spent the night in the South Downs National Park near Eastbourne, pitching a tent just a meter from the edge of the cliff.
Liam, whose videos have amassed over nine million views, uploaded the video titled ‘Wild Hiking and Camping in the South Downs’ on Sunday June 12.
In the video, Liam pitches his tent near the edge of the cliff, before cooking dinner on a camping stove.
After erecting his tent, he said, “We’re literally three feet from that cliff, so I hope it doesn’t fall.

He also posed for photos sitting with his feet on the edge of the cliff.
The YouTuber, who has 117,000 subscribers on the platform, has since received backlash from concerned members of the public.
One onlooker said: “Stupid and dangerous to camp so close to that cliff edge. Chalk erosion and cliff falls are common in this region. The emergency services have better things to do than pick up injured or dead idiots from the rocks below.
“Idiot of the week,” said another.
Another added: “Do you have a death wish?”

The video filmed in the South Downs National Park has been viewed over 10,000 times since it was uploaded.
In the video, after waking up, having breakfast and packing up his tent, Liam looks over the edge of the cliff again on another hike in the area.
His YouTube channel uses the tagline “I get uncomfortable being comfortable”.
He also uploaded a series of photos from his trip to Twitter, with the caption, “You can’t beat a bit of camping next to the ocean, even if your tent is a foot from the edge.”

Meanwhile, in the video description, Liam said: “This was one of the most scenic campsites I’ve ever stayed at.
“I’m planning on wild camping in all 15 UK national parks – this time it was the South Downs; 13 down, two left.
Liam has already uploaded videos of him camping in Dartmoor, the New Forest and Exmoor in recent weeks.
