A MAN has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the city center last night.
He was injured in the leg, with onlookers saying he had been stabbed with “a screwdriver and a glass”.
The road was cordoned off by the police last night.
A resident who claims the man was stabbed outside her home, said via social media that she is “so sad this is happening in Brighton.
“His girlfriend was so upset, thinking he was going to die.”

She said a screwdriver was found “at the scene outside my window”.
The man remains in hospital while police search for the alleged attacker.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a stabbing in North Place, Brighton at around 10.30pm on Tuesday June 14.
“Officers responded to the scene and a 33-year-old male was found with a leg injury.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he is still at this stage.
“Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to report it online or call 101, quoting serial number 1557 of 14/06.”
