Bus route launched from Brighton to Eastbourne to Drusillas Park Brighton News

FAMILIES can now hop on a bus to one of Sussex’s zoos after a popular route returns for the summer.

The 11X route via Brighton and Hove Buses between Brighton and Eastbourne stops at Drusillas Park near Alfriston, as well as Charleston Farm House, Middle Farm and other attractions.

The service operates every Sunday and public holiday, departing Brighton at 9am, 12.20pm and 3.45pm, and Eastbourne at 10.40am, 2pm and 5.25pm.

Up to five people, with a minimum of one adult and a maximum of two adults, can travel together for just £9 along the route with a family ticket which can be purchased through the Brighton and Hove Buses app.

The route departs from Brighton Station and Eastbourne Pier, making stops at Rottingdean, Saltdean, Newhaven and Polegate.

The service was launched in 2019 after feedback from passengers and bus drivers.
