A JURY has not returned a verdict in the trial of a former police community support worker accused of rape.
Former Sussex PCSO Jamal “Bertie” Robinson, 29, stood trial charged with rape and sexual assault of a teenager in December 2019.
Mr Robinson, from Hove, denied raping the woman, now 21, after meeting her at a Brighton nightclub.
The 11 jurors were released after Lewes Crown Court heard they could not return a verdict.
A new trial will begin in September this year.
