North London mental health trust is looking to recruit 400 people locally UK News

A north London mental health trust has launched the biggest campaign in its history as it seeks to recruit more than 400 people.

Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust says it wants to employ people who live locally as it undergoes major changes to improve the mental health care it provides.

The trust says it is investing in new services and transforming how it works, so waiting lists are shorter and people with mental health issues are treated earlier and closer to where they live.

Its new recruitment campaign, Someone Like Me, aims to attract doctors, nurses, therapists and other health professionals.

The trust, which serves a population of more than one million, also wants to offer roles to people without traditional job qualifications but with valuable lived experience of mental illness.
